The National Information Centre on Retirement Investments Inc (NICRI) is well known for providing consumers with information on investments, retirement income streams, superannuation and financial planning. From 2 February 2009 NICRI is trialing a new service called The Equity Release/Reverse Mortgage Information Service which provides information to prospective equity release and reverse mortgage applicants.
Seniors First, a Seniors Card Business Partner and financial broker for people over 55, has published the second edition of its report, Reverse Mortgage Secrets. This is now available for FREE download from their website. To celebrate Seniors Week, seniors who download the free guide during March or April 2009 go in the draw to win one of five holiday packages of up to 14 nights FREE holiday accommodation. 
The Office of Fair Trading has produced a new brochure on funerals in response to recent legislation changes. From 1 February 2009 funeral directors are now required to provide an itemised quote on a basic funeral option if they offer one. If no basic funeral is offered funeral directors must still provide a written itemised quote and after any funeral service is completed they must provide an itemised invoice or statement. The new brochure highlights changes to the law and is useful for anyone organising a funeral.
