Don't forget to book your free ticket to the 2008 Premier's Christmas Gala Concerts. All tickets will be available from 9.00am on Monday, 27 October. Book your tickets online, in person by visiting one of the 25 NSW Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone on 1300 855 501. If booking by phone please be patient and expect lengthy delays.

South Coast Caravan, Camping & Holiday Show  

Seniors Card is exhibiting at the annual South Coast Caravan, Camping & Holiday Show at Batemans Bay from 7-9 November 2008. Come and visit the stand, enter our competition and learn about travel products and services offered to Seniors Card members.   Read more

Free testing for Macular Degeneration  

Free testing for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) will be available to local residents of Orange, Bathurst, Ulladulla, Bowral and Corrimal aged 50 or more.   Read more

Walk away memory problems

An Australian study has found that walking for two and a half hours a week can significantly improve memory problems in the over-50s. The study was led by Professor Nicola Lautenschlager, the Chair of Old Age Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne.   Read more

Step into Spring with the Heart Foundation  

Heart Foundation Walking is a network of free community-based walking groups that aim to increase participation in regular physical activity. Walking groups are led by Volunteer Walk Organisers offering an enjoyable, social and supportive physical activity option for people who wish to walk in their local community.   Read more

National Parks guided tours

Carers' Week  

The Hon Kevin Rudd MP will launch National Carers Week 2008 in Canberra on Monday, 20 October. Carers Week was established to promote and raise awareness of the valuable role that carers play in our community and to generate discussion about carer issues. Carers Week also provides an opportunity for carers to come together, support one another and share ideas and information.   Read more
